Alexia Woodroffe was born in Enfield, England, though has moved north and now lives in a village just outside Stoke-on-Trent. She has always enjoyed writing, and from a young age she would make stories up with her mother at all opportunities. Like most aspiring writers, she carries a notebook to note down inspiration and ideas wherever they appear. Over the years she has written vast amounts of stories to hone her craft and is now releasing her debut novella Dragon Runes. This has been a labour of love for her, and is a real milestone in her life.

Alexia, as with many writers, loves reading. She spends a lot of time voraciously turning pages of horror and fantasy books. She also loves animals and has had many pets over time. She has had the normal, dog, cats, rabbit, etc but has also had snakes, lizards, tarantulas and various invertebrates. At one point she even owned over a thousand Giant African Land Snails, fulfilling a childhood dream of being a snail farmer that she has long since realised was a terrible idea. Owning such unusual and varied pets is one of the areas of inspiration she draws on. Another one of her loves is spending time working on and driving classic sports cars, and she finds the workings of them fascinating. Living in the beautiful British countryside, she is often out enjoying the fantastic views whether on foot, bike or by car.
Work has come in various forms and types of jobs over time, trying to branch out into several different careers, including Zoo Keeping, Bookkeeping and Pet shop ownership before deciding they were not for her. She currently works as a machine setter at a factory, which although is more interesting than bookkeeping, writing is her main passion, she hopes that one day she can dedicate all of her time to it.
